I am able to quickly build up a good rapport with children and young adults, win their trust and make Speech and Language Therapy sessions fun. I am able to help parents, carers, nursery and school staff to support children with their talking and help with their general communication in the most effective way.

Fun speech and language therapy activity

It is essential to give children with speech and language  difficulties the help they need:

... language is the fundamental life skill for children, and language development has a profound impact on all other aspects of life ... A recent study revealed that 7.58% of all children have a language impairment, or two children in every Year One class of 30 children...

Children with language difficulties are likely to have problems with reading, learning in school, socialising, making friends, and understanding and controlling emotions. Without the right support at the right time, a child’s life chances can be significantly hampered (I CAN, 2016).

Feedback for Bright Sky Speech and Language Therapy!

Thank you so much for your support, we are really grateful and happy and our son seems happy too ... so WELL DONE KATIE!

The difference since my son has been with Katie is amazing and we are truly grateful for that.

My son had trouble pronouncing his "l" sound. He has come on lots since working with Katie. She is very good with children and engages them in a fun and sympathetic manner. Would recommend.
